Four Hines Technology Group LLC ("we," "us," or "our") operates the VibeCheckList mobile application (the "Service"). This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our Service.

 

1. Information Collection and Use

We collect several different types of information for various purposes to provide and improve our Service to you.

Types of Data Collected:

  • Personal Data: While using our Service, we may ask you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify you ("Personal Data"). This includes:

    • Name

    • Email address

    •  Encrypted Password (We never store your password in plaintext).

  • Usage and Onboarding Data: We collect information you provide directly to the app, including mood selections, task entries, and answers to onboarding questions.

  • Device Data: We may collect certain information automatically from your mobile device, including, but not limited to:

    • Your device's IP address

    • Device model and manufacturer

    • Operating system and version

 

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected data for the following purposes:

  • To create and manage your account.

  • To provide, maintain, and improve our Service.

  • To personalize your task lists and other content based on your inputs.

  • To conduct analytics to understand how our Service is used and to improve the user experience.

  • To communicate with you regarding your account. This includes sending transactional emails for purposes such as password resets or important notices about our Service. We will not use your email for marketing or promotional content.

 

3. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal data. We may share your information with trusted third-party service providers who perform services on our behalf, under strict confidentiality obligations.

  • AI Service Provider (OpenAI): To provide generative AI features, we send non-personal, pre-defined data points (such as your mood and task types) to the OpenAI API. User-generated free-text content from your tasks is not sent to this service. According to OpenAI's policies for API usage, they do not use data submitted via their API to train their models.

  • Cloud Platform & Analytics (Google Firebase): We use Google Firebase for our backend infrastructure. Your data is processed by various Firebase services to operate the app, including:

    • Cloud Hosting: Secure storage of your data (e.g., Firestore).

    • Authentication: To manage your account sign-in.

    • Analytics: To understand service usage (Google Analytics for Firebase).

    • Performance Monitoring: To identify and fix app crashes and performance issues (e.g., Crashlytics).

  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose your data if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities.

 

4. Your Data Rights

You have certain rights regarding the personal information we hold about you. You may exercise these rights at any time by contacting us at legal@vibechecklist.com.

  • Right to Access and Correct: You have the right to request access to the personal data we hold about you and to ask that we correct any inaccuracies.

  • Right to Deletion: You have the right to request the complete cancellation of your account and the deletion of your personal information. Upon receiving and verifying your request, we will close your account and remove your personal data from our active systems.

 

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active with us. When you request account deletion, we will permanently delete your information from our production systems within a reasonable timeframe.

 

6. Data Security

We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical measures to safeguard your personal information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure.

 

7. Children's Privacy

Our Service is not intended for anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected Personal Data from a child under 13 without verification of parental consent, we take steps to remove that information from our servers.

 

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy within the application or via other means. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
